NHL Power Plays 4/2/2018

First things first, it is Monday which has six games on the schedule.

Injuries are a theme in the early going and watch to see who was banged up from the weekend. Goalie confirmations for quite a few will come later in the day. The games start at 7:00 pm ET.

Teams On The Back End Of A Back To Back (Main Slate)

Colorado Avalanche
Washington Capitals

Let’s get into the centers of attention on this night. There will be more emphasis on values. However, in our picks, there will be more of the usual choices. The goal is to mix more value in this evening.

Ryan O’Reilly

$4800 on DK

$6000 on FanDuel

There is something about previous game and current circumstance. O’Reilly has been seeing almost top line ice time which bumps up his value a little bit. Buffalo tends to shoot a bit more than most teams. This is a value play on DraftKings only. The price is a hair too low. On FanDuel, this is a bit more risky but still not bad.

Also, this allows price relief to go after some of the bigger, higher priced talent. With the six game slate, there is a tendency to go after a line to get picked on. O’Reilly will get chances as Toronto and Buffalo match-ups feature elevated scoring chances. Watch potential line shifts throughout the day and look at Jean-Gabriel Pageau from Ottawa as another possibility. Finally, watch Ottawa as they could get heavily stacked against tonight. That makes for contrarian picks and more.
