NHL Power Plays 3/24/18

First things first, it is Saturday which has a ten game main slate. Our focus is on the main as always. However, in the Slack chat, there will be picks and strategy all day and all evening up until lock.

Injuries are a theme in the early going and watch to see who was banged up from the week. Goalie confirmations for quite a few will come later in the day. The games start at 7:00 pm ET.

Teams On The Back End Of A Back To Back (Main Slate)

Montreal Canadiens
Buffalo Sabres
New Jersey Devils
St. Louis Blues

Let’s get into the centers of attention on this night. There will be more emphasis on values. However, in our picks, there will be more of the usual choices. The goal is to mix more value in this evening. Even with a bigger slate, a good amount of chalk exists. Some chalk will have to be played.

Center

Nico Hischier

$4300 on DK

$5100 on FanDuel There is something about previous game and current circumstance. Hischier had two points against Pittsburgh last night. He has been playing well and chances have been coming again. Playing with Taylor Hall (who had three points against Pittsburgh) gives New Jersey the best chance to win. They will be lower owned tonight. Coming home after a grueling road trip and a quick turnaround will make Tampa Bay players attractive.

This is even more of a DraftKings play because there is good value. Some think Kevin Hayes is as much of a solid option here. He very well could be. Also, Nashville has Kyle Turris in this price range but he is more risky. Hischier just has a tiny bit more upside based on marginally better match-up. Tampa Bay has been vulnerable in allowing goals (3.4 goals per game allowed since January 1st). Contrarian plays are more than acceptable as one-offs tonight. Let’s go for even bigger price relief.
