Week 17 Stack Em Up – DraftKings

We have reached the final week of the regular season and there are a lot of moving parts this week. My approach is targeting players on teams with something to play for and/or players who are playing for something even though their teams may not be in contention for the playoffs. There are several interesting situations and following news this week is huge as we could receive news on players who will be limited or even ruled out prior to kick off on Sunday. We already know that the Rams will be resting starters and the Chiefs will sit Alex Smith. That said, let’s jump into some stacks to target this week.

For those who are not familiar with what stacking means, let’s define what we are calling a stack.

Stacking is pairing multiple players from one team. In this instance I will be referring to a quarterback and one of his receivers, tight ends, or running backs.

Top Stacks

Los Angeles Chargers

Game Over/Under: 42

Chargers Implied Points: 25

The Chargers need a win this week to keep their playoff hopes alive and there is a good chance that they will hand over the keys to their leader on offense, Philip Rivers $6,600 (DK), $13,500 (FantasyDraft). He draws a very good matchup this week against a Raiders defense that ranks sixth worst in DVOA against the pass. Going back to the 2013 NFL season (nine games), River has averaged 284.9 passing yards per game against the Raiders and has tossed 18 touchdowns. Being that this is a week that I feel better about targeting players with something to play for, Rivers is one of my top quarterbacks in this final week, considering he also has a nice matchup.
