NFL DraftKings Bargain Plays Week 10

Quarterback – Below $6,500

Dak Prescott – PHI at PIT – $6,100

Dak Prescott is coming off an impressive outing against the Cleveland Browns in week 9. Now, we could easily point to that matchup and say that anyone could have gone 21 for 27 for 247 and three touchdowns through the air. And, you’d probably be right if you did. The issue here though is Prescott has been a steady 20-plus point scorer for the last three weeks on DraftKings and gets another good matchup this week. Pittsburgh is a middling team against both the pass and the rush. The game currently sits with a 50 o/u so points will most definitely be scored.

Carson Wentz – PHI at ATL – $5,400

Carson Wentz has had an uneven season. He got off to a great start but has looked more and more like a rookie in recent weeks. Atlanta’s pass defense has improved a bit since the start of the season but still managed to give up a gigantic day to Mike Evans last week. They rank 21st overall in DVOA against the pass. This is another high o/u game, sitting at 50.

Jay Cutler – CHI at TB – $5,300

Jay Cutler is never an easy play to deploy. He’s coming off a decent output against a very good Minnesota defense last week. Now Cutler gets a matchup with the Tampa Bay defense that has improved some this season against the pass but still sits at 20th overall in DVOA and is tied for 5th in passing touchdowns allowed at 18.

Running Back – Below $5,000

Jonathan Stewart – Car vs. KC – $4,900

Jonathan Stewart has seen a really solid return since his injury earlier this season. Though last game was a disappointment, the matchup wasn’t a great one for the Panthers back. This week, Carolina takes on Kansas City, who sits at 18th in DVOA against the run. Stewart should see plenty of action in the run game, and hopefully some time near the goalline.

Tim Hightower – NO vs DEN – $4,600

While time-share situations are never ideal in fantasy, you can, at times, get a good discount on ownership levels. Currently, Mark Ingram and Tim Hightower are splitting carries for the New Orleans Saints. Hightower saw 23 carries and one target last time out as New Orleans amassed 200-plus yards on the ground. Denver’s Harvey Dent defense continued to show itself last week against Oakland. Latavius Murray, yes that Latavius Murray, ran for 114 yards on 20 carries with three scores. There is some inherent risk that Ingram has the hot hand, like he did last week, but this game should be high scoring enough to allow for carries to spread around.

Darren Sproles – PHI vs ATL  – $4,300

Another write up, another time-share. It does feel like this one is a bit more secure though. Darren Sproles has seen a big uptick in his carries out of the backfield while continuing to be the lead pass catching back for the Eagles. Atlanta’s defense has struggled all year and is 26th in DVOA passing against the running back position.

Wide Receiver – Below $5,000

Kenny Britt – LA at NYJ – $4,900

Kenny Britt hasn’t hit double digit targets on the year (remember, Case Keenum is throwing him the ball) but has been a high performer at a cheap price point five out of the last six weeks. Britt takes on the woeful Jets secondary this week. We’ve documented New York over the past few weeks and this shouldn’t be any different.

Rishard Matthews – Ten vs GB – $4,200

Last time out, Rishard Matthews was targeted 10 times and hauled in six receptions. He only totaled 63 yards but did post two touchdowns. Green Bay has been great against the run, but their secondary continues to struggle against the pass. Matthews looks like a legitimate number one receiver for the Titans right now.

JJ Nelson – ARI vs SF – $4,200

While the San Francisco 49ers have been terrible against the run, they’ve been a middling team against the pass on the year. The Cardinals come into this game favored at minus-13.5 points and an over under of 48.5. Nelson has been targeted 18 time over the past two weeks and seems as ready as John Brown or Michael Floyd to excel this week.

Tight End – Below $4,000

Zach Ertz – PHI at ATL – $3,700

Zach Ertz has been a bit of a forgotten man in the Eagles offense. Last week, Carson Wentz found Ertz eight times for 97 yards. The Giants were one of the worst teams last year against tight ends but had tightened things up a bit before Ertz made them look foolish in week nine. This week, Ertz takes on the Atlanta Falcons who are a bottom five team against tight ends according to Football Outsiders.

Lance Kendricks- LA at NYJ – $3,000

A tight end against the Jets? Always. Especially now that Lance Kendricks continues to see his targets each week. He has seen 29 passes thrown his way over the past three weeks and that should be no different this week.

Defense/Special Teams – Below $3,400

Rams – LA at NYJ – $2,900

The Jets quarterback situation seems to still be very fluid, but, no matter who starts, turnovers are a high possibility. At 2.9k, they represent a fairly cheap option with upside. This game sits at a 39.5 o/u so it seems like a safer bet than most.
