NBA Thoughts – 3/28/17

A huge eight-game slate was shrunk down to a six-gamer on DraftKings, so I’ll lay out the top point-per-dollar plays on both sites. Houston vs. Golden State highlights our night, and fitting your favorite stud seems like a possibility tonight with the value that’s brewing. I’ll focus on finding the cheapies at each position to help you get pieces of this Houston-GSW game. Let’s get to it!

Lineup Construction

As if it wasn’t obvious by that first paragraph, I want as much of the Houston game as I can. That includes Harden being my top option, but also Curry, Klay and even Capela or Beverley to round it out from the Rockets side. To effectively game stack, we’re going to need value. Here are some of the guys I’m using in my lineups to make this work.

On Fanduel, you don’t need to go that cheap. Stick with the guys that will see heavy minutes and have a shot at outproducing their salary. As I was writing this, Ingram was ruled out making Larry Nance another fine option as a cheap PF. It’s a straight forward slate. The more news and value we have, the more of the Houston game we can fit in.

Stars and scrubs is essentially the best way to create upside, and tonight the stars are aligning perfectly. Although we lack the minimum salary players, we can still fit in a couple studs in all our lineups. I’ve realized that predicting the later games correctly is where the edge comes from. Yesterday, if you predicted Boogie and Hayward out, you had a huge leg up on the field.

Feel free to message me on Twitter (@MLora) with any question regarding tonight’s slate. I’ll also be in the premium slack chat leading up till lock. I hope everyone has a profitable Tuesday. Till next time, party animals!
