NBA Thoughts 3/4/17

Saturday nights in the association are always fun. Tonight we have seven games on the main slate with huge tournaments across all sites. It looks like another night where we have very little value and are forced to roster the mid-tier guys and make balanced lineups. I’ll give my thoughts on some of the mid-tier guys I’ll roster heavily and where we can differentiate. Let’s get to it!

Lineup Construction

James Harden and Lebron James come into the night as the only high-priced players we can pay up for, but seem pretty difficult to fit in. Yesterday, if you wanted Westbrook you could’ve taken chances with Justin Anderson and Alan Williams. Tonight, there is no one around the minimum salary price tag who gives you the ability to use them. As the day goes on, we’ll monitor Twitter for news as a few teams are on back-to-backs and could rest some players. If we don’t get anything, a balanced lineup will be the only way to go. As of now, here are the mid-tier options I find myself using the most.

Seems pretty easy to fit these guys in and they also provide some nice value at these prices. If we get news that guys are sitting and opens up some value, I’ll look to fit in Harden as my main piece even if it’s against Memphis.

Last week’s big $4 tournament also lacked value and the winner didn’t feature a player under $3,900. Tonight is looking pretty similar due to the lack of low-cost options. Feel free to message me on Twitter (@MLora) with any questions. I’ll also be in the premium slack chat leading up to lock. Hope you all have a great Saturday! Till next time, party animals!
