Lineup Construction (Christmas Day)
It’s the best day of the NBA season and the DFS sites have rewarded us with the best slate to date. Millions of dollars will be up for grabs today and all the super stars will be showcased. On a day like this I want as many superstars and I don’t even care if there isn’t any value. With that in mind, I’ll guide you in the same direction I’m building my ‘stars and scrubs’ (It’s actually more balanced) lineups and let you know which players are making that happen for me. Merry Christmas!
I would love to have a Christmas Day full of Westbrook, Towns, and Curry but that won’t be easy considering there isn’t much value. When making lineups it seems that the secondary tier ($8k range) seems to be the strongest and one where most of our roster should come from. I remember last year that this was the tier that exceeded their salary by the largest margin and led users to huge Christmas cashes. As a matter of fact, let me bring you a special edition of the lineup review I do daily. Let’s take a look at the perfect lineup from last year’s Christmas Day slate!
Last year the same secondary tier I spoke about above outperformed their salary enough to post the highest scores of the slate. If this year proves to be the same, guys like Curry, Towns, and Butler are the ones we should be prioritizing in our lineups. It’s also similar in the sense that there was little value, and the perks of going a little more balanced outweighed that of a full ‘stars and scrubs’ lineup.
Guys that make it happen
I’ll lay out some of the mid-tier and cheaper options that allow us to afford those guys. Keep in mind that I’ll prioritizing guys who can greatly exceed their salary and give me a chance at 350+ scores.
|Julius Randle||Enes Kanter|
|Rajon Rondo||Julius Randle|
|Karl-Anthony Towns||Andre Iguodala|
|Jimmy Butler||Gorgui Dieng|
|Jae Crowder||Al Horford|
Again it feels like it will be another day where the mid-tier is extremely strong and there’s little value. If you can fit Westbrook and take some chances on riskier plays that should also be fine as well. I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and I hope you guys have a great day DFS wise as well.
