NBA Bargains 11/19/16
Welcome to the weekend! To celebrate, let us look at the solid eight-game main slate tonight and find the bargain plays that make our lineups hit the top of the standings. I am going to keep these under the $5,000 line for both FanDuel and DraftKings. Let’s go!
Brandon Knight – PHX at PHI – ($4,300 – DraftKings) – Knight’s price has dropped too far for such a high usage player, even if coming off the bench. He is still getting 25 minutes per game, 6.7 drives per game and has 22.25, 19, 46 and 27 DK point games over his last four. You need him to get to 31 DK points for value at his salary and, against Philly, and a possible Devin Booker absence, he has a great shot to crush it.
Terry Rozier – BOS at DET – ($3,500 – FanDuel) – Keep an eye on Marcus Smart’s status as he is battling an ankle injury. Rozier played 25 minutes against Golden State and turned in 25.9 FanDuel points, so if Smart is out, Rozier may be the one to play and since you will want 24 FD points at his salary, he has already shown he can get there.
Dion Waiters – MIA at WAS – ($4,800 – FanDuel and DraftKings) – He’s not going anywhere, America. With the extended time Eric Spoelstra is committed to giving him, he has risen to seventh in drives per game and has three games in his last five over 30 fantasy points, including a 40+ burger against the Spurs in San Antonio. Be sure to check in on this one as Waiter is a game-time decision. Pivot to Josh Richardson or Tyler Johnson if Waiters is out.
Matthew Dellavedova – MIL vs. GS – ($4,200 – DraftKings) – Delly has surprised with the involvement in the Bucks’ offense, but he is top 40 in touches per game, right alongside the Hawks’ Paul Millsap, to get an idea of his activity. He has 30.25, 24.25 and 21.50 in three of his last four games and will have a pace-up game against the Warriors, which will be more like the game he had against the Pelicans, which was the 30.25 game above.
P.J. Tucker – PHX at PHI – ($3,900 – FanDuel, $3,300 – DraftKings) – with Devin Booker and T.J. Warren potentially missing this tilt against the Sixers, Tucker stands to get something similar to the 38 minutes he worked against the Pacers the last game.
Michael Beasley – MIL vs. GS – ($3,600 – FanDuel, $3,100 – DraftKings) – This is a Manny Lora special, a near min, high usage tourney player in a pace up game and a loose defensive team in the Warriors. His only boundary is playing time, but you will need 25 DK points and 24.4 on FanDuel for tourney value and Beasley can get there with 15-16 minutes of floor time, which he has received in two of the last three games.
Jaylen Brown – BOS at DET – ($3,500 – FanDuel, $3,000 – DraftKings) – If Crowder and Smart are both out, then we can look at Brown as another potential punt option. Brown has played a significant number of minutes with Isaiah Thomas and Avery Bradley with Crowder/Smart off the floor and has registered a 0.80 DKPPM in that situation. Should he get the 25-28 minutes with that unit, a 20-25-point night looks about right for him.
Jared Dudley – PHX at PHI – ($3,800 – FanDuel, $3,700 -DraftKings) – Don’t watch him if you roster him, but with Booker and Warren questionable, and Tyson Chandler definitely out, in a 212 total, competitive matchup, Dudley will get 30+ minutes and be a great value here.
Ersan Ilyasova – PHI vs. PHX – ($3,900 -FanDuel, $4,000 -DraftKings) – If Joel Embiid sits for rest, then the coast is clear for Ilyasova in a high pace, low defense matchup here. Ilyasova should get close to a fantasy point per minute and if he is the one that starts, a near 30 fantasy point game is in play.
Allen Williams – PHX at PHI – ($3,500 – FanDuel, $3,000 -DraftKings)
Alex Len – PHX at PHI – ($4,800 – FanDuel (PF), $4,600 -DraftKings) –
Tyson Chandler is out again for the Suns, leaving Len and Williams the two big men in play here. Williams found himself backing up the ever-foul prone Len last night, and both players made their respective values as Williams cranked out 42.25 DK points in 25.52 minutes, thanks to 15 rebounds and 6-7 from the field. It is not repeatable, but if Len gets into foul trouble, Williams will get the call again in a great matchup.
Cody Zeller – CHA at NO – ($4,200 – FanDuel, $4,000 – DraftKings) – Zeller has been getting significant playing time the last two games, 30.50 minutes against MIN and 31.40 against the tough Atlanta Hawks, where he turned in a 36.75 DK point performance. He gets the defense below average Pelicans tonight and still getting starters minutes at reserve prices.
Robin Lopez – CHI at LAC – ($4,700 – FanDuel, $4,800 – DraftKings) – Playing against DeAndre Jordan is a solid matchup for anyone, especially Lopez considering his recent effective outings of 32.25, 31.75 and 30.50 DraftKings points, the last being against Rudy Gobert and the Utah Jazz.
Good luck and good winning tonight! – JW
