NBA Bargains – 4/11/17
Happy Tuesday and welcome weary NBA DFS travelers. We have nearly reached the end of the regular season. Let us look at the games from the five-game slate and find the bargain plays that make our lineups hit the top of the standings. I am targeting at/below 10K on Fantasy Draft, 5.5K on FanDuel and 5K on DraftKings. LET’S DO THIS!
NOTE: Stay tuned to FanVice for updates and analysis of the breaking news in regards to the values that open throughout the evening leading up to lineup lock.
Quinn Cook -NOP at LAL – $3,700 (FD – SG), $3,000 (DK), $6,000 (FDRAFT) – Alvin Gentry said we would see more of Cook here at the end of the season and the recently signed guard did indeed appear for 27 minutes in Oakland, scoring 28.75 DK points. He is still the rock bottom minimum and should see same run against a significantly poorer defensive team in LA.
Tyler Ennis – LAL vs. NOP – $4,000 (FD), $4,400 (DK), $8,800 (FDRAFT) – No D’Angelo Russell tonight, so Ennis should play at least the same 22 minutes he received against Minnesota, when he scored 34 DK points and potentially could see as many as 35-36 minutes here against a Pelicans team that is not playing its regulars at the end of the season.
Nicolas Brussino – DAL vs. DEN – $3,700 (FD), $3,000 (DK), $6,000 (FDRAFT) – Brussino got 33 minutes against the Suns and the Mavericks are suiting up Tony Romo for this game. Seriously. But Romo will not cut into Brussino time, because he is not actually under contract, so it is ok to launch Brussino in another 20% usage, 30 minute spot here against a defense-less Nuggets team.
Jordan Crawford – NOP at LAL – $3,700 (FD), $5,000 (DK), $9,800 (FDRAFT) – You can file complaints about listing Crawford, once again, here and I would understand. But he has 30 and 29 minutes his last two games, with 25.5 and 32.7 raw usage behind him. He is playing a poor, poor defensive team in LA and has no conscience. It is pretty much the definition of what April NBA DFS is all about.
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist – CHA at ATL – $4,300 (FD), $4,500 (DK), $8,800 (FDRAFT) – It is the kind of game that MKG could rack up loose peripherals in, as the Hawks do want to win to avoid a first round matchup with King James and the Cavs, and the Hornets are eliminated and without some rotational players like Kemba Walker and Marco Belinelli (questionable).
Brandon Ingram – LAL vs. NOP – $4,400 (FD), $4,100 (DK), $8,000 (FDRAFT) – Ingram inched up to 29 minutes his last time out and will benefit from the 218 game total this game is going to launch under. The matchup is similar to when Ingram scored 21.50 DK points in 25 minutes against the Kings a couple of games ago.
Dragan Bender – PHX at SAC – $3,600 (FD), $3,000 (DK), $6,000 (FDRAFT) – Part of the get-minimum crew today, Bender had 35 minutes and 26.50 DK points in the last game against Dallas, and Earl Watson wants to use these last games to see what he has in Bender.
Cheick Diallo – NOP at LAL – $3,500 (FD), $3,000 (DK), $6,000 (FDRAFT) – Like Cook, Gentry wants to see Diallo out there and will get a significant amount of minutes tonight with both DeMarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis out against a poor Lakers defense.
Enes Kanter – OKC at MIN – $5,500 (FD), $4,500 (DK), $8,800 (FDRAFT) – 18-20 minutes of 35-40% usage and all the scoring he can muster. Forget FanDuel, but that DK/FDRAFT price sings of a tourney flyer on one of the marvelous one-way bigs going in the game. Maybe Billy will give him 25 minutes tonight. Maybe.
Mason Plumlee – DEN at DAL – $5,300 (FD), $4,400 (DK), $8,700 (FDRAFT) – Denver may have only eight players (and Mike Miller) so Plum could see 30-35 minutes here if Malone does not feel like having Jokic out there for full minutes. Like Kanter, it is Plumlee’s DK price that sings. It is a less than stellar matchup, typically, but Dallas has given up over 100 points in each of the last three games.
Good luck, players! – JW
I am a promoter at DraftKings and am also an avid fan and user (my username is jaywalker72) and may sometimes play on my personal account in the games that I offer advice on. Although I have expressed my personal view on the games and strategies above, they do not necessarily reflect the view(s) of DraftKings and I may also deploy different players and strategies than what I recommend above.
