NBA Bargains 2/26/17

Happy Sunday! Let us look at the games from this split six-game slate and find the bargain plays that make our lineups hit the top of the standings. I am targeting at/below 10K on Fantasy Draft, 5.5K on FanDuel and 5K on DraftKings. LET’S DO THIS!

NOTE: Stay tuned to FanVice for updates and analysis of the breaking news in regards to the values that open up throughout the evening leading up to lineup lock. Also,  FantasyDraft is not offering the 3:30 ET games and will not be listed for players in those games.

Point Guards

Cory Joseph – TOR vs. POR – $4,200 (FD), $4,500 (DK), $8,800 (FDRAFT) – Keep an eye on the news as Kyle Lowry is questionable for today’s game. If Lowry misses, Joseph is a solid play again as he was when he scored  26 FD points against the Celtics in 36 minutes of play.

Austin Rivers – LAC vs. CHA – $4,800 (FD), $4,700 (DK), $9,200 (FDRAFT) – Chris Paul coming back lowered the minutes on Austin Rivers, but his price drop and still consistent production (14 shots, 27.50 FD points), keep him in consideration at home against Charlotte.

Also consider: Ish Smith (DET)

Shooting Guards

Tony Allen – MEM at DEN – $4,900(FD), $4,800 (DK), $9,500 (FDRAFT) – Prime matchup against Denver, and Allen has played high 20s minutes when needed, and he will be needed against the many talented scoring wings in Denver. Allen has scored 31.25, 31.25 and 27.25 in the last three games he has played 25+ minutes.

JJ Redick – LAC vs. CHA – $4,300 (FD), $4,500 (DK), $8,800 (FDRAFT) – With Paul back, Redick can be fired up in cash games again as he has positive correlation with the talented PG. Redick played 32 minutes against the Spurs in Paul’s return, and while he did not score well, it will be a little easier against the Hornets, in Los Angeles.

Small Forwards

T.J. Warren – PHX at MIL- $5,200 (FD), $5,300 (DK) – We celebrated the departure of PJ Tucker and Warren’s performance did not disappoint. The small forward played 37.98 minutes against the Bulls, and Warren scored 32.60 FD points as a result. Milwaukee has the fourth worst defense in the last five games, giving all the Suns a boost.

Khris Middleton – MIL vs. PHX – $4,600 (FD), $4,700 (DK) – The Suns have been the tenth worst defense over that span, and Milwaukee gets a pace up spot here against the uptempo Suns. Middleton is on a 25 minute limit, but he can produce in that time, his raw usage is mid 20s and the game total is the highest on the board, with a 223.5 total.

Power Forwards

Jon Leuer – DET vs. BOS – $4,900 (FD), $4,800 (DK), $9,500 (FDRAFT) – Leuer has closed the last two games instead of Andre Drummond, likely due to free throw shooting, and Leuer has been fine, scoring 31.75, 31.50 and 23.75 DK points over his last three games.

Marquese Chriss – PHX at MIL – $4,700 (FD), $4,500 (DK) – Like TJ Warren, Chriss has also benefitted from PJ Tucker’s trade away from Phoenix. Chriss has played 25 and 33.25 minutes his last two games, scoring 33 and 34.75 DK points and now gets that bump for playing against Milwaukee.

Jonas Valanciunas – TOR vs. POR – $5,600 (FD), $4,900 (DK), $9,800 (FDRAFT) – He is tourney only, thanks to Duane Casey’s errative scheduling of JoVal’s playing time. Chances are, however, that Casey will need Valanciunas’ size against new Portland post man Jusuf Nurkic, bringing JoVal’s minutes up and his 1.04 DKPPM makes that a good value, especially on DK/FDRAFT.

Kelly Olynyk – BOS at DET – $4,700 (FD), $4,900 (DK), $9,800 (FDRAFT) – Despite the last game, Olynyk has been very productive (at least 20 FD points last seven games before that one). Against Detroit, he may be asked to play more and draw Andre Drummond away from the basket, or force Stan Van Gundy to leave Drummond on the bench.

Good luck, players! – JW

I am a promoter at DraftKings and am also an avid fan and user (my username is jaywalker72) and may sometimes play on my personal account in the games that I offer advice on. Although I have expressed my personal view on the games and strategies above, they do not necessarily reflect the view(s) of DraftKings and I may also deploy different players and strategies than what I recommend above.
