NBA Bargains 11/28/2016
Back to the regular work week, but at least we have the diversion of daily fantasy sports for our virtual escape! There are seven games on tap tonight tipping off at 7:00pm ET and the main sites are
As always, more information will be released by the teams closer to tip-off, but this should give us plenty of discounted options to work with in the meantime.
If you have any questions you can reach me on Twitter @EmacDFS or in the FanVice.com premium Slack channel.
Sergio Rodriquez and Jerryd Bayless – PHI at TOR – Bayless was out on Sunday with a wrist injury and he is questionable tonight, though he did travel with the team to Toronto. If he is out and Rodriguez gets another start he is excellently priced on FanDuel $4,200, FantasyDraft $7,000 and DraftKings $3,600.
Cory Joseph – TOR vs PHI – Sticking in the same game, we can consider Cory Joseph who has a good chance to see some extra run with the ‘Sixers on a back-to-back and the Raptors sitting pretty as 15.5 home favorites in a game with a 208 projected point total.
Dennis Schroder – ATL at GSW – This is a back-to-back for the Hawks as they took down the Lakers on Sunday night in fine fashion. Schroder has scored 25+ fantasy points in three of his last four games and there should be lots of fantasy goodness to go around in the Monday nightcap with 218.5 projected points.
Tony Allen – MEM vs CHA – This is the third game in four nights for the Grizzlies who will be without Chandlers Parsons and James Ennis. They have also been keeping a cap on the minutes of Marc Gasol and Mike Conley, so this should give Allen a clear path to 30 minutes in this contest and that will be ample time for him to produce enough stats to “pay off” his modest salary.
Rodney Hood – UTA at MIN – This should be a “pace up” game for the Jazz in Minnesota tonight, though the Jazz have been playing a little faster this year than they have in previous seasons. Hood has 30 fantasy point upside anytime his shot is falling and he is a nice tournament play in this matchup.
Jae Crowder – BOS at MIA – Crowder has been working his way back into shape after missing two weeks with an ankle injury. In his last outing against San Antonio on Saturday he flirted with 30 fantasy points in 27 minutes. Now that he is clearly healthy, we can take advantage of his artificially suppressed price tag.
James Johnson – MIA vs BOS – As long as Justise Winslow is out, Johnson should have close to 30 minutes in the rotation. While he has a very low floor, he has been consistently reaching 25ish fantasy point in most scoring systems.
Ersan Ilyasova – PHI at TOR – If Joel Embiid is getting the night off, we can look to Ilyasova to get a few more shot attempts which should unlock his fantasy value. He is best utilized on FanDuel at $4,600 for tournaments or on FantasyDraft at $9,100 in with their more flexible position requirements.
Mike Muscala – ATL at GSW – Muscala is an EXTREME punt option for tournaments, but he does have 20+ fantasy point upside when he gets 20+ minutes. That should be the case tonight as the Hawks are playing in a back-to-back situation and this is the fourth night of their road trip that has taken them through Indiana, Utah and Los Angeles.
Jahlil Okafor – PHI at TOR – With Joel Embiid likely to get tonight off, Okafor has a good chance to see 26-28 minutes as his own playing cap has also been lifted. His price is artificially low with the unique “process” Philadelphia is using to bring along their talented duo of BIGs. He has posted 20+ fantasy points in three of his last four games and that is a reasonable projection again tonight where we are struggling to find key punt options.
Steven Adams – OKC at NYK – this is a good matchup for Adams who will be squaring off against Jokiem Noah who will be playing his third game in four nights. As long as Adams continues his uptick in shot attempts, he is a fine play in all formats tonight.
