FanDuel NFL Value Plays: Week 16

Let’s find some low-cost value plays at each position so you can mix/match your lineups to take down your tournaments this week. Value here are represented by $6,900 or less for quarterbacks, $6,500 or less for running backs/wide receivers, $5,500 or less on tight ends, $4,500 for kicker and $4,500 and lower for defenses.

We are looking at Sun-Mon slate only, so if you have any questions, hit me up in the Comments Area or reach out to me on Twitter @JasonWalkerDFS.

Matt Barkley – CHI vs. WAS – $6,300 – Washington has the 24th ranked pass defense, even with Josh Norman and so Barkley and the pass game script he will likely have to follow, will be in good position to produce. Barkley has attempted 54, 32 and 43 passes in the three weather-relenting games he has started.

Running Backs:

Frank Gore – IND at OAK – $6,000 – Firm in his volume, even if he does lose out on a TD or two to various other ball carriers, Gore is involved both in the run game, where he fires off 15-20 carries per game and in the pass game, when necessary, as when he got four targets in Week 15. Cash game only since the TDs will not come by the multiples.

Rob Kelley – WAS at CHI – $5,800 – Kelley got stuffed by the eighth ranked Panthers defense, but should find the pathway wider against the 27th ranked Bears defense. A positive game script (Redskins by 3.5) works in Kelley’s favor here as well.

Spencer Ware – KC vs. DEN – $6,500 – Home game against the 24th ranked Broncos defense, and a slight favorite, Ware has been steady in his volume as the Chiefs lone tailback, getting 17, 17, 14, 20 and 18 carries over the past five week and about three targets per game as well.

Kenneth Farrow – SD at CLE – $6,100 –A little post hype-week love for Farrow, who now gets the worst defense in football against the run at Cleveland. Farrow, despite being ineffective, got another 15 carries and likely remains alone in the Chargers backfield.

Wide Receivers:

Michael Crabtree – OAK vs IND – $6,200 – Crabtree continues to deliver, getting another eight targets, six catches and 15 FanDuel points last week. Now, against the 28th ranked pass defense of the Colts and a 52.5 game total, Crabtree is set for another value day.

Emmanuel Sanders – DEN at KC – $6,400 – After Bill Belichick wisely took Sanders away last week, he will be lesser valued even though he has a positive individual matchup this week and the Broncos will be in another passing game script. Sanders continues to stay atop the red zone receiving list and will be back to being the go-to receiver for the Broncos down there.

DeSean Jackson – WAS at CHI – $6,300 – The Bears are 27th against the deep pass this season and Jackson has a positive individual matchup with Tracy Porter, too, making it likely that Washington, with a 25.3 team total, will try and use Jackson to get that early lead.

Cameron Meredith – CHI vs. WAS – $5,500 – With Josh Norman likely to shadow Alshon Jeffrey, it leaves Meredith as the lucky recipient of Bashaud Breeland coverage. With Barkley as a favorite to go over value at QB, Meredith should be the channel that which Barkley gets there, getting 13 targets and nine catches from Barkley in Week 15 already.

Tight Ends:

C.J. Fiedorowicz – HOU vs. CIN – $4,900 – With CJF being back to probable this week, he is a solid play against a Bengals defense that allows nearly nine targets and 73 yards per game to tight ends this season.

Antonio Gates – SD at CLE – $5,400 – Gates goes against one of the tight end friendliest defense in the Browns, who are ranked 32nd against tight ends this season.

Kickers and Defense:

Roberto Aguayo ($4,500) and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Defense ($4,300) – In a very high total indoors, there will be plenty of possessions here for defensive goodness and points for the kickers. The Saints are 24th in turnovers per drive on offense and the Bucs are second in the league in creating them.

Good luck this week! – JW
