FanDuel NFL Value Plays: Week 14

Let’s find some low-cost value plays at each position so you can mix/match your lineups to take down your tournaments this week. Value here are represented by $6,900 or less for quarterbacks, $6,500 or less for running backs/wide receivers, $5,500 or less on tight ends, $4,500 for kicker and $4,500 and lower for defenses.

We are looking at Sun-Mon slate only, so if you have any questions, hit me up in the Comments Area or reach out to me on Twitter @JasonWalkerDFS.

Carson Wentz – PHI vs. WAS – $6,500 – The running game is almost extinct in Philadelphia, as proven by the 60 pass attempts by Wentz in Week 13. The Eagles, over their last three games, are second in highest pass play percentage, with a whopping 70.14% of their plays going through the air. The Eagles have the highest total of the quarterbacks in our price range here, with 23.3, so Wentz is the best play to go with here at home.

Running Backs:

Theo Riddick – DET at NO – $6,300 – Riddick dominates the production activity out of the Lions backfield and has a very nice team total at his back (25.5 points), and is at home this week against the Bears.

Thomas Rawls – SEA at GB – $6,500 – The Packers are tough, but it is the Seahawks that are 2.5 point favorites and Rawls had 16 touches, which was seven more than the next Seahawks running back last week and played on over 60% of the team’s snaps.

Frank Gore – IND vs. HOU – $6,000 – Gore got 20 carries last week against the third ranked run defense and now faces an average Houston run defense at home in Indianapolis. The Colts have a top ten offensive line in run blocking and are 5.5 points favorites this week.

Rob Kelley – WAS at PHI – $5,900 – Philly has the toughest run defense in adjusted line yards in the league, but……Washington is third from the offensive line standpoint and they have already handled the Eagles defensive line once before. Also, since the Eagles have had to throw more recently, they have given up the sixth most rushing attempts per game over the last three weeks, giving up over 20 FanDuel points per game to running back over that span. Lastly, in Week 13 Kelly had 14 rushing attempts for the Redskins, and the next back (Chris Thompson) had two.

Wide Receivers:

Brandin Cooks – NOR at TB – $6,300 – After whiffing the previous week, the Saints targeted Cooks nine times for seven catches in their Week 13 home loss to Detroit. This week, it is Tampa Bay on the road, but the Saints have a savory 24.3 team total and Cooks will have a good individual matchup this week.

Emmanuel Sanders – DEN at TEN – $5,900 – I get that the Broncos pass situation is weird, but the Titans pass defense is in the bottom ten and Sanders just had a big game two weeks ago. He is in the top three in red zone targets for the season, as well. Priced too low, no matter the QB.

Devonte Adams – GB vs. SEA – $6,400 – Well targeted, even in a dud performance in Week 13, Adams should get the non-Richard Sherman coverage and with the Packers ground game in unrepairable state, has a chance to replicate his Week 10 and 12 performance, where he notched 100-yard games.

Golden Tate – DET vs. CHI – $6,300 – Tate delivered last week and now heads back home, where the Lions have a 25.5 team total against the Bears. Tate, if Marvin Jones is out again this week, has the same 10 target, big game upside he carried into the Superdome last week.

Tight Ends:

Vernon Davis – WAS at PHI – $4,800 – If Jordan Reed misses again, then the ever-passing Kirk Cousins will be targeting Davis again over the middle. Davis had six targets and five catches last week, especially when Cousins was in hurry up mode.

Antonio Gates – SD at CAR – $5,200 – Was targeted four times last week and caught them all and, eventually, San Diego is going to force some end zone targets to the guy to get him to Tony Gonzalez’s record. The Panthers may offer such opportunity, being bottom ten in defense against the tight end and the game is a tight, 48-point total.

Kickers and Defense:

Roberto Aguayo – TB vs. NO – $4,500 – Highest team and game total, at home, as favorites. That is a magic combination, so you will just have to ignore how bad Aguayo has been at accuracy this season.

Carolina Panthers vs. San Diego Chargers  – $4,400 – At home against a team that turns the ball over the second most per drive in the league, the Panthers are also slight favorites as well.

Good luck this week! – JW
