You know the drill. When qualifying and the race are on the same day, it’s not feasible to release a full article. I apologize. Next week, you get an article. Here are my picks.
Strategy Notes: With only 90 laps, and the way stages shake up the field at road courses, only targeting one hog (fast lap and laps lead points) in cash games and punting with a $5k driver seems to be a winning formula. Paying a little more for your value driver, and going with Trevor Bayne, opens up some attractive options, as well.
Dig into the statistics and find the best plays for this weekend’s NASCAR event with the Daily Fantasy NASCAR Spreadsheet:
Editor’s Note: with qualifying taking place just a couple hours before the race, we are using an abbreviated format for the analysis. The regular article will return next week.
The end of qualifying and the drop of the green flag are separated by hours. As Jessie Spano once said, “There’s no time. There’s never any time.” You need to make picks and you really shouldn’t be wasting time reading this opening. This week, the write up acquiesces to time. No blurbs, just tiered rankings.
- Kevin Harvick – Place differential points pick.
- Kyle Busch – Hog
- Martin Truex, Jr. – If you fade Kyle Busch.
- Brad Keselowski
- Denny Hamlin – Starting in back scored from 11th, should drop his ownership in GPPs.
- Joey Logano
- Jamie McMurray
- Matt Kenseth
- Paul Menard
- Ryan Newman
- Trevor Bayne – 32nd to 9th last year at WG, just by pitting early and stretching fuel.
- Austin Dillon
- Matt Dibenedetto – Chasing Place differential points in a wreck fest.
- David Ragan – The cheapest.
- Landon Cassill – The safest, but lowest ceiling.
